Borrowers must meet first-time homebuyer requirement. Non-occupant Borrowers or co- signers are not permitted.  Follow USBank and Agency guidelines for non-U.S. citizens.

• KHAP Grant:Assistance in the form of a non-repayable Grant and calculated on the first Note amount. May be combined with the Kansas Kick Start and AIS Grant.
• Kansas Kick Start: Assistance in the form of a 0% Interest, 1-year forgivable second mortgage in the amount of $7,000.
  >Refer to the Program Administrator Guidelines for instructions to reserve the second mortgage funds. May be combined with the KHAP Grant and AIS Grant.
  • The 2^ndlien 0% loan provided is forgivable after 1 year.
  • Other than earnest money reimbursement, or items paid by the Borrower outside of closing, there can be no cash back to the Borrower.
• AIS Grant: Borrowers meeting special lower income limits may qualify for additional assistance with the Affordable Income Subsidy (AIS) Grant. Borrower’s at or below 80% of AMI (as determined by Freddie Mac) will receive an additional Grant of $1,500. Borrower’s at or below 50% of AMI (as determined by Freddie Mac) will receive an additional Grant of $2,500.

For Freddie Mac Loans:

• 18% charter coverage for 95.01-97% LTV Loans
• 16% charter coverage for 90.01-95% LTV Loans
• 12% charter coverage for 85.01-90% LTV Loans
•   6% charter coverage for 80.01-85% LTV Loans
